Rugged concept based upon proven technology
The CompactGC provides fast analysis in seconds at the sampling point; either by local or remote control of operation and data reduction. It accommodates up to a maximum of 3 independent analysis channels, that can be optimised separately for maximal efficiency. Since it’s construction is based upon proven GC technology, like Valco® valves and classic capillary columns, the CompactGC is synonymous to long-term, trouble-free operation.

Fast analysis

The use of capillary columns for gas analysis reduces the analysis time enormously. Typical analysis times are 30-120 seconds, but f.i. the separation of ethene and ethane is achieved in only 6 seconds. Conversion experiments like catalyst or fuel cell research can be monitored very frequently in this way. Due to the no-compromise design, the analysis time is equal to the cycle time; no additional flush or conditioning steps are necessary.

Flexible
The modular concept of the CompactGC™ offers 3 independent analysis channels. The instrument has a very clear design, since each channel has a transparent ‘injector-column-detector’ configuration. The column ovens are heated independently, so each column has its optimal temperature.

Four detectors for best linearity, sensitivity and selectivity are available. The FID, TCD, PID and PDD (Pulsed Discharge Detector) are covering a broad range of components and concentration levels. The instrument was also coupled to the DSQ Quadrupole Mass Spectrometer.

All GC parameters can be changed during the analysis using the ‘run-time-table’. This means that valve switching, temperature and flow setting etc. can be changed on any wanted moment. This creates maximum flexibility: f.i. for multiple injections during one analysis run, or sample conditioning during the preceding run.

Due to the widely accepted 19" industrial standard, the user can add the CompactGC to an existing 19" instrument rack configuration.
