Ethylene Glycol in used engine oil

This GAS analyser offers high throughput analysis as an alternative to the labor intensive ASTM D4291-98 method. Ethylene Glycol is made more volatile and less polar by adding a derivatisation reagent to the oil in an autosampler vial. After incubation, a headspace volume is injected by the Triplus headspace autosampler.  Thermo Trace GC1300 is the cost-effective one-channel solution for this analysis.
